l   What I like about the movie
1.          Though the story is kind of typical, a nobody with a big dream and finally wins her success, it is still inspiring and hilarious. Especially, the leading actress, Melissa McCarthy adds a lot of favor on the character and the movie.

2.          It’s really hard not to joke about Melissa’s weight and figure and sometimes it may goes too far. But the scriptwriter makes only as much sense as it absolutely must.

l   Story line
Emi Hoso is a lawyer with no talent. She is clumsy and screws things up all the time. The only reason why she became a lawyer was to honor her father who is as well a lawyer, Teruo Hoso.

Although her client claims that he was innocent, he wasn’t at home at the moment when his wife die, the only witness who can proof his absence is a ghost. In order to defense the case, Emi goes to the hotel where the client was staying at, and meet the ghost, the spirit of samurai, Rokubei.
Rokubei is a 400-year-old ghost, because he also died of a false accusation, he accepts Emi’s request without second thinking and is willing to do the testimony for her client. However, there is only a small group of people can see Rokubei, not to mention he is a died person legally. Besides, Rokubei is a ghost and can only appear after dark. How to bring him to the court and make his testimony be heard by the judge and jury is merely impossible.

l   What I like about the movie
1.          For comedy, it is kind of plane to create a funny person as a comic character, but if the comic character is someone who is very serious, then it could be very funny.
2.          A person can be funny be appearing in the wrong place.
3.          The performance of the actors are really good. It is not that easy to avoid eye contacting while acting, by their performing, it feels like the ghost is really transparent.
